My name is Kaelyn, twenty this year.
I will look like the above if you feed me chocolatey stuff or toss me a game console with Puzzle Bobble in it.
I love rainy days, long bus rides, solo strolls and colorful sunsets.
I like ogling at flashy new gadgets, and dislike not being able to own all of them.
I feel that cheesy goes well with corny and craziness is a necessity which is why Fendi is my boyfriend and my girlfriends are my girlfriends durrr.
I like to think that I make a lot of sense most of the time.
I love taking pictures of the sky.
I like tea and waffles.

Life gets tough but there are awesome things to it too, so just remember:

It's raining again

And I feel so cold..

Well at least Cheng's at home with me. There's this really heavy feeling I can't shake off, but there's work to be done. And I've taken recent pictures for school on my Windows mobile that just doesn't respond when connected to a Mac. School later for 3 hours, not knowing what to do.

Major sigh.

I am stuck

And it is annoying. I haven't written something proper in ages, and now while I'm slowly piecing bits of information inside my head with my fingers hovering over the keyboard, they stay there. I type a few words, pause, backspace, look outside the window, get distracted by other things, sit back down here and sigh at the as-good-as-blank page, and the cycle continues.

Florflor can I borrow your articulate brain for a day please? -_-

The sky has been looming with dark clouds for a couple of hours now, with the occasional rumble of thunder. It was irritatingly stuffy awhile ago(which prolly explains my twitchy attempts at writing the essay), now I can finally smell the rain and feel the cool air drifting in... As much as I dislike the enclosed feeling of having all the windows in the house shut, I love it when it rains. As long as it's not a thunderstorm I tend to leave a bit of my window open and watch, sometimes letting the feathery drops drift in, content that I remain dry and sheltered while watching the rain fall. But playing in the rain is fun as well. It feels like everything just slows down and the air smells so clean after that.

Still not raining... Might as well try and get back to work now. Blah.

Seeing stars from afar

I woke up to lovely weather today. :) The air looks clean and the sky's a really clear blue.
Only dampener would be the amount of work I've yet to touch over the weekend, and being home alone. Krisssiiieeeee. ;___;

Okay so on 21/02, Saturday, the two of us headed down to Eastpoint to check S.H.E out. We met at noon to get some lunch.

queue under the sun

This was our view from inside LJS. The weather was killer and the sun, oh gawd, I admire the sheer determination of fans. There was an ambulance nearby, but then again CGH isn't too far away from there either.

We headed into the mall and positioned ourselves on the third/fourth(?) floor to watch the happenings below.

glorious

Eastpoint's moment of glory. We were amusing ourselves with the thought of nearby residents popping down here to grab groceries from this usually ulu mall and getting bowled over by this phenomenon.

cameras at the ready

Suddenly the fans in front of the stage stood up in a wave and had their cameras/videocams armed at the ready. You just know that the stars are gonna make their appearance anytime now...

arrival

Cue screams! ...Uh, Krissie and I were rather, how do I put this, mildly thrown off guard by their really casual appearance. "They look so normal!" Okay I know they are normal people too but with their fame and whatnot it kinda makes them feel like a different class of humans altogether Idon'tknow. -_-

up the stage now..

Hum dee dum up the stage! Ella in the pink and dark blue checkered blouse, Hebe in the white tee, and Selina(lurve!) in the green-and-blue top.

sofa from v.hive

Settling down with the DJs. Selina was the first one to tilt her head up and notice the crowds on the higher floors, which she told Hebe who glanced up and didn't pass the message to Ella and-- okay stop babbling.

S.H.E!

As always, Ella was the more talkative one, Selina was bubbly and Hebe's talking voice is... weird. I'm not being biased, it just sounds like she's squeezing her voice somehow. The whole thing felt too staged; they only got to greet their adoring fans directly about 40 minutes after they got on stage. :|

zhor teng metal pole

My field of vision being blocked. Kris said I should swing from one of those ropes and scream SELINAAAAAAA to catch her attention and the mental imagery was so funny.

have it your way

On the first floor. I had to tiptoe and stretch my arms up to take this shot, in which only the back of Ella's head can be seen.

performance

We went back up while they were singing and watched them from under people's armpits and between their legs. HAHAHA. Hebe's performance was pretty unspirited compared to the other two. Perhaps she wasn't feeling well. :|

autograph session

And the autograph session begins! They moved through the line pretty fast, with the help of security officers pushing the fans along before they could linger longer in front of their idols.. Sigh. The cards and gifts they gave were plucked away by another woman who sorted them out in black bags behind the girls on the stage floor.

orderly fans

With the number of people lining up, they had no choice but to be very quick about it. The crowd of people extends all the way outside, probably all around the mall. The event started at 2; by the time we left at 5 there was still a hugeeee crowd waiting outside in line. Which meant that along with being stuck outside and missing S.H.E's interview and performance, they might not get their autographs either. :(((
To think I could've been one of these people if it'd been about five or six years back. It's pretty impressive for a mandopop girl group to have been going strong for all these years.

As for yesterday, we had a family dimsum lunch and went for Pink Panther 2 with my cousins, aunt and my parents. My parents. MY PARENTS! Who never fancy going to the movies and whom I suspect were sleeping in the cinema for the most part. It was honestly rather silly but funny at certain points.

Gotta head back to school tomorrow for the briefing... And Comm. D's the only specialism talk to be attended without the printed brief. We're gonna be there with no idea what to expect. Great.

Lurrrve is in the air!

"More like carbon monoxide is in the air." -Fendi

It's been so smoky outside, it makes me feel slightly suffocated just looking out the window. :(

Anyway, hope everyone had their own share of cheesiness and love and affection and blablabla yesterday for Valentine's! It's the first V'day being with someone for the both of us; and thankfully we're both not keen on squeezing with others in town with red and pink heart-shaped balloons and roses and soft toys and, well you know. We just settled for a simple(non-romantic) movie and dinner. KRISSIE AND JESS GUESS WHERE WE ATE? At the ah soh place worssss! He wanted to! Someone had to eat his words for a night! YESSSSSSSS. >D

Throughout Thursday and Friday, Krissie and I were busy preparing our presents at her place. After my lesson on thurs morning we went grocery shopping, and spent the rest of the day in her kitchen making dough and cutting shapes and burning chocolate and making icing and decorating. We were both uber excited over baking and force-feeding our boyfriends the end products but the making was tougher than I expected.

We also met up early on Friday for brekkie and to watch Bride Wars! It's not the kind of thing I'd want to catch a few more times, but it was enjoyable.

Valentine's Cookies!

These are what I managed to make! Kris had a lot more 'cos I spent too much time cutting out some shapes.. without cookie cutters. :c

Burger Cookie

HAHA this is supposed to be a burger. A burger for my big shot burger. :D

Staring Flower Cookie

HAHAHAHA I LOVE THIS FACE. Though Kris said, "the flower so cute then you make a face liddat. -_-"
The flower took really long to make 'cos our dough was too moist and hard to cut shapes with a knife.

Hunny Bunny

Hunny! *w*
Bunny! ^_^
lol.

Pretty Truffle FAIL

On Friday. This was a failed attempt due to using the wrong type of chocolate. It wouldn't solidify even after being left in the fridge overnight so I couldn't bring it out at all. :C

Small Cookies 01

So on Friday, Carin was baking as well. Them sisters tried different measurements of butter, food colouring etc from the day before and made simpler cookies. Kris also got cookie cutters that day so the shapes came out better. The dough was very very wet but the cookies turned out nice, with more taste and better colour.
They gave me eight of these to represent the eight letters in Fendilyn.

Small Cookies 02

Topped with choc chips and little hearts and stars. Argh so cute!

Fendi gave me this big pink box with a few items inside.

Bouquet 01

Which included flowers. :D
Poor things were left with little oxygen in the box until I got home.

V'day Flowers 02

Impractical as they may be.. I love real flower bouquets. The super soft petals and scent.. And they make me suddenly shy and girly-embarassed-flattered somehow when I get them I DON'T KNOW LA. I took a lot of pictures of them while they're still fresh.

O HAI i iz can be flower gurl nao?

Heh heh. Happy Valentine's! :D

For the love of kittens

Something I found in a journal on dA.

This reminds me of something I witnessed last year.. I was on a double decker no. 2 going in the direction of home, when somewhere along the Geylang stretch I watched a horrible thing happen. A little kitten, I remember it was a brown tabby, was apparently trying to cross the road-- with fast, one-way traffic. Being so frail and tiny and young, it stumbled right into an incoming rush of vehicles and BAM it got ran over by a car. The kitten rolled and bounced slightly up off the ground, its limbs seemingly broken, and tried to stand and there went a motorcycle over the poor creature. AND AFTER THAT IT STILL STRUGGLED BLINDLY TO STAND UP. I was sitting on the second deck in complete shock, and actually blurted out "oh my fucking god" and nearly left my seat before another vehicle ran over the kitten AGAIN and the kitten lay there, TWITCHING before it become motionless, with drops of blood dotting the ground in front of its face. Its back was to me, or I probably would've blanched right then and there. Throughout this(it felt too damn LONG) the bus was at a stop, which was how I got to watch the entire thing. I cried on the bus journey home, and it still makes me cry now thinking about it.

Why why why did I have to chance upon something like that?
